The Peugeot e-2008 is the fully electric version of the
new Peugeot 2008
. The electric e-2008 uses a single motor to drive the front wheels, which produces 136bhp and 260 Nm of torque. A 50kWh battery will provide up to 310 kilometres of range on the WLTP cycle. The battery is guaranteed 8 years, 160,000 km for 70% of its charge capacity. The Peugeot e-2008 will be here by end-2021 and it is expected to be priced between Rs 60 Lakh - Rs 70 Lakh. The new Peugeot e-2008 SUV boasts the same powerful, fluid, and generous lines as its combustion versions. The e-2008 is more stylistically assertive. The balanced lines and overall proportions are those of an SUV, with a recessed windshield that makes the bonnet more horizontal, creating a strong body. A few distinctive design features reveal its electric status. The new e-2008 electric SUV has a grill bar that matches the colour of the bodywork and a dichroic lion with its “e” initial.
Inside, like any other modern-day Peugeots, it is outrageous as well as simple. The colours and materials are meticulously detailed, skilfully combining noble materials and original colours. There are dual digital displays for driver and front-seat passenger along with a bank of "piano keys" in the centre stack that controls a variety of functions, depending on the trim level.
The new Peugeot i-Cockpit 3D boasts intuitive ergonomics with its compact steering wheel, 10” HD capacitive touchscreen, and configurable 3D digital dash. The touchscreen displays all relevant information. In addition to this, your primary electric driving data is projected onto the 3D digital dash as a hologram, so that it is always within the driver’s field of vision. The Peugeot e-2008 gets different driving modes to change drive settings to the driver’s preferences and road conditions: Sport, Normal and Eco.
